Post-Christian America?

Newsweek's cover story -

The end of a Christian America? …Maybe - The end of Christianity in America? …Not at all. As the article mentions the Northwest’s disenchantment with religion, I find myself in the irony of attending a religious graduate school in the heart of Seattle (called by some, the most un-churched city in the US) – In reality, there are many sick-issues regarding a ‘Christian-America’ that must move on as quickly as possible in order to give way to a New/Fresh Christianity in America. Which leads me to believe that those two questions... are totally different things - What Say You?

Hey Rick. I've been away from blogging for awhile, but looking to come back finally.

I didn't read this article, but I felt the same way when I thought of the premise. If by "THE END" they mean the end of shallow faith that lacks substance and is based on self-help and validation, in exchange for real faith that places God as the object of our worship because simply, "He is worthy to be praised", and expresses the depth and is in awe of the mystery of who He is, then I'm for it. It is horrible what modern day evangelicalism has done to strip our faith of it's beauty. The more I research the history of it, the sadder a story develops.
